To create a new estimate bill, access sidebar menu, select purchase>estimate bill>Create New estimate bill.
Estimate bill template will appear. Select the vendor from drop down. Once selected, the vendors details will appear on the estimate bill template. You can also add new vendor by providing some details which includes: Vendor name, email, apartment, city, country, state and ZIP code.
Estimate bill number will be auto-generated.
Select the estimate bill date. Select the estimate bill expiry date from the dropdown which includes the following options: 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days and Custom. When you clicks on 30 days, the date after 30 days from estimate bill date will be populated. If you select custom from the dropdown, then a calendar will appear from where you can pick any date of your choice.
Select the currency from the dropdown.
You can select an item from the item dropdown or can also add a new item. While adding a new Item you need to enter the item name, description, quantity, price and also select the account from the 'Select account' dropdown. Click on 'Add an item' button to add more items.
Click on "Add tax". Select the sales tax applicable to this item. All existing sales tax will be available under the drop down and an option will be provided to create new sale tax too. To add new sales tax, click on "Add sales tax" from the dropdown. A popup will appear to Add sales tax. Fill in the details : Tax name and Tax rate (Mandatory), Description and Your tax number (Optional) (tax rates along with name will be displayed in the summary). Click on "Save" button, new sales tax will be added.
Click on "Save", a success message will appear "Estimate bill created". Estimate bill will be created in draft status.
You can perform three actions: Send, Approve draft and Edit draft.
Click on "Approve draft", estimate bill is approved. From the approved estimate bill view page, you can perform three actions: Send, Convert to bill and Rollback.
Click on "Edit draft", edit estimate bill template will appear having estimate bill in editable format. Update the fields and click on "Save". A success message will appear "Changes saved".
While creating an estimate bill, you will be directed to fill the Vendor name first, then Country, Due date, Estimate bill date, Currency, Item, Quantity, Price, Select account. After filling all the details, click 'Save'. Estimate bill will be saved in Draft status.
